Behavior
The Tyrannosaurus Rex gets its name for a good reason. These apex predators are known to be ruthless and powerful, striking down their prey with an intense bone crushing bite. Tyrannosaurus typically prefer to be alone or in mated pairs, and spend their time roaming and guarding their territory. These large carnivores are known to be extremely territorial, and do not tolerate other terrestrial apexes in the area. When not worrying about their next meal, Tyrannosaurus often enjoy naps and sun bathing in their spare time. While male Tyrannosaurus that pack together tend to have a gentle nature, females who pack with one another can be seen bickering over food and napping spots.
Recommended behaviors
╸Tyrannosaurus does not tolerate other Tyrannosaurus or Giganotosaurus in the area and will attempt to drive them away or migrate to a new hunting grounds
╸These ambush predators prefer to live in areas with short visibility range, meaning bushes, forest edges and rocky areas, where their preferred hunting style can be demonstrated.
╸Very good parents, Tyrannosaurus will give their all when raising their young.
╸Tyrannosaurus are specialized to hunt large Ceratopsians and Hadrosaurs like Eotriceratops and Edmontosaurus.
Mating
Tyrannosaurus spend the majority of their life alone up until meeting a potential mate. Upon meeting that mate, males will try to impress the female with large kills, such as Eotriceratops and Barsboldia. To show love and readiness to mate, both male and female will nuzzle their snouts together, as they are very sensitive. Tyrannosaurus will perform deep grumbles towards each other, to help solidify their bond. Females are often more attracted to males with scars, as it shows they are good survivors, and will potentially switch mates for someone who is stronger.
Nesting & offspring
Baby Tyrannosaurus are very quiet when not playing, as few will make it to adulthood due to heavy predation from other species looking to hunt them before they can grow large. Young Tyrannosaurus enjoy having roaring contests to practice loud vocalization for marking their territory when unfamiliar faces enter their lands. They can be seen practicing their ambushing skills on their parents, when they think they are not watching. Both parents tend to be very protective of their young, and are not afraid to chase anything that stands a threat to them.
